Our History in Ocala
In 1996, Thad Boyd founded Boyd Development Company and has since developed millions of square feet of office, retail and industrial properties. His entry into real estate and development started during his time in the family business of Mark III Industries, Inc., a well-storied Ocala-based company. Thad’s dad Roy “Thad” Boyd, Jr. asked for a company volunteer to search out and gather information nationwide on the best manufacturing facilities of the time. Thad volunteered much to his father’s dismay. After some consideration and the willingness of another more seasoned Mark III employee who volunteered to help Thad, he was given the job. His counterpart was Joe Krim. That year of traveling and studying manufacturing and buildings instilled a love of real estate and development in Thad.
